Onboarding: Building Your Success, Step by Step

Welcome to your Onboarding “job site” – Let’s build something amazing together!

Each step of our onboarding process at Level Accounting is a critical phase, and together we’ll lay the foundation for a strong, lasting partnership. Here’s how we “build” your onboarding experience:

1. Signing your Engagement Letter: Project Initiation

Just like any construction project starts with a vision, your onboarding begins when you sign the engagement letter and fill out your bank form. This is our groundbreaking moment and the official start of your project.

2. Receiving your “Hello” Email: Planning Blueprints & Checklists

Now it’s time for us to review your account & draft a list of everything we need. The person assigned to lead your onboarding will send you a “Hello” email and a welcome video, laying out the project scope. From this, you’ll know what information is needed, who’s involved, and what your next steps will be.

3. Completing your New Client Intake Form: Gathering Materials

Before we pour any concrete, we need materials. You complete our New Client Intake Form (easily located as a hyperlink in your “Hello” email) and upload as much information as possible. Setting up bank logins for us is like getting the right tools ready.

4. Kick Off Meeting: The Pre-Construction Huddle

This is our first meeting, where we review the “blueprints” (your engagement letter & chosen services), answer questions, and make sure everyone is on the same page before construction begins. The Business Development Specialist who you have been working with will start the meeting to ensure a seamless handoff as they introduce the onboarding team.

5. Onboarding Work: Construction Phase

Now the real work begins! Our onboarding team gets to work assigning tasks, setting up your QuickBooks file, cleaning up any data, & handling payroll setups. Just like on a job site, the speed of construction depends on how quickly we get materials (your info & answers).

6. Weekly Progress Updates: Site Inspections

Throughout onboarding, we will send weekly updates – Think of these as site inspections. We’ll keep you informed about the progress, outstanding items, and what’s coming next. This ensures quality and keeps the project on track.

7. Go Live Meeting: The Grand Opening

Once your business’s backwork, tax work, & payroll setups are completed, we will have a final meeting within our team to match your business with your dedicated staff accountant. After this internal meeting comes your Go Live Meeting – Your ribbon-cutting ceremony! We introduce your assigned team, answer any final questions, and hand over the keys. Congratulations!
