Locally, Yours – Business Spotlight

We are bringing you our Local Spotlight of the week – Locally, Yours, formerly known as ‘Sixteen Twenty’. This business is your go to for quality hometown apparel and gifts, with a wide range of items made in the USA. We love to see family businesses and this mom and daughter duo rock! Locally, Yours is owned by daughter and mother; Alyssa and Pam Smith. When visiting their shop you are sure to be greeted with a helpful and friendly staff, they sure have that small business charm. We know you can’t wait to go snag you some comfy Plymouth Apparel, but due to covid-19 the store is not physically open. That does not mean you still can’t shop from them, you can currently visit their website and make online orders that they will ship or personally hand deliver. This really shows Alyssa and Pam’s commitment, they truly go that extra mile for customers.

Read our full interview, to learn more about Locally, Yours and some of their current best sellers that can bring a bit of joy to your home while we all are stuck in the house.

  1. What inspired you to open up Locally yours?

Locally, Yours – which originally started as ‘Sixteen Twenty.’ in January 2018 – was an idea that came from feeling like Plymouth needed an apparel line that represented its locals and the things that matter to us without being too touristy. That inspiration still stands – but we have evolved a bit. After rebranding to Locally, Yours in October 2019 we still carry local inspired apparel but have further expanded into local gift items and items that we just think are necessary for you to live your best local life!

  1. Tell us an interesting & fun tidbit about your business.

We are a mother / daughter owned business, and as of right now we are our only employees!

  1. How are you currently reacting to covid-19? What are some items people may want to order right now?

We are hanging in there! Our website is up and running – you can order online and have items shipped to your home or we can hand deliver items to you in 1-2 business days (if you are located in Plymouth, Kingston or Carver – use code LOCALLOVE). Our top seller right now no doubt is our puzzles!

  1. What skills have helped you the most along your business journey?

We each have our own specialties! I (Alyssa) went to school for Fashion Merchandising and Marketing so I handle all of our buying, merchandising, social media & day to day retail responsibilities, while my mom (Pam) has owned her own marketing & design company for over 10 years (Creative Pear Marketing & Design) so not only does she have all of that business experience under her belt but she handles our marketing, apparel designs and keeps up with our website & helps with social media.

  1. What is one of your personal favorite local businesses?

How can we just pick one!? We most often find ourselves at Vela for lunch, Waterfront Bar & Grill for after work drinks and visiting Flair! Floral Event & Design when we need beautiful flowers to brighten up our day. And of course – Stratlign for always supporting us 🙂

Local businesses are the backbone of America, and right now they can use your support. Make sure to Shop Local and check out Locally, Yours. You can visit their website as well as like and follow them on Facebook and Instagram. Links Below
