Can you describe your business and what you do ?
What I do with A Pretty Balance is I guide busy women on how to show up, specifically on social media, to grow their businesses by attracting their ideal client and business partner. I show girls how to be intentional about how they work their businesses online and how to save time and further their businesses without feeling like they don’t have enough time to do what they need to do online.
My specialty focus is on personal branding, so I love working with women whether it be them having a brick and mortar store or an online business, to really get clear on their message, identify their target audience, and draft their mission statement. So, when they show up on social media they are authentic to their own personal brand and remain consistent in their company growth.
Was there a specific defining moment that made you decide to start your business?
Yes, so I have been in network marketing and found value in that industry and when I ended up making life changing income with that, which was impactful during my divorce, I saw the magnitude of what was happening and I saw the impact that it had on my life. So, I committed to developing my own skills and knowledge and then eventually helping other women to create the life that they want and that they are worthy of and creating a stream of income that could be life changing for them.
Overall, my goal is to help women achieve their end goals.
What skills have helped you the most along your business Journey?
I think being flexible, because at any given moment our method is dependent on circumstances, so being flexible in life and especially in business I think has helped me the most. We’ve seen in 2020 where it is an unprecedented time where more and more people are looking for ways to earn income from home and that is the ultimate flexible work environment. So, I really specialize in helping women lead online business into their life and allowing them to achieve that additional income from home that everyone is looking for right now.
What is your future vision for A Pretty Balance, Inc?
I just am so inspired by empowering other women so my future vision is to continue on with helping women of business whether it be in their brick and mortar store or specifically online. But my future all time end goal, I would love to open a women’s center, a healing center, a business enrichment center and I have huge goals that I’m even sometimes afraid to speak out loud, but you know a pretty balance is kind of like life. It isn’t always pretty and it’s not always balanced but we can shoot for a pretty balance. Us women have a lot on our plates and it says a lot when we link arms and really do it all together because no one is totally balanced. We all are pretty balanced but no one is totally balanced.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone starting a business of their own?
Ask for help! I think women today in particular we don’t ask for help enough. I think often we fear that its a sign of weakness when in fact it is a sign of strength in business to know when you need help and know how to ask for help and who to ask for help. It is one of the strongest abilities that we can have to leverage and then rise up in business. I think there’s a lot to be said for navigating the online space like social media and it’s not always user friendly and I think my biggest gain in business was when I hired a business coach. So, when I see other women reaching out their hand and asking me for help with their personal brand online it makes me so excited because I know they are on the brink of growth because once you raise your hand and ask for help, the sky’s the limit for you. I think too in life, 2020 especially, as women we have a lot on our plates and we don’t often think our voices matter, but women’s voices need to be heard and the more we ask for help the more we are going to be recognized for all we that we do because it is impossible to do it it all on your own.
